Dealey Chickens

At Dealey Montessori, a small flock of chickens—including a few roosters, hens, and several chicks born last year—are raised right on campus. Supported by the PTA, which provides funding for food, bedding, and other supplies, the chickens are a unique part of the school environment. When possible, students have the chance to go outside and interact with them, offering a hands-on experience that connects them to nature and animal care. Ms. Weathers (GT teacher) manages their care.
