DEALEY PTA EXECUTIVE BOARD

The mission of the Dealey PTA is to foster communication and cooperation between parents, teachers, staff, and the local community to ensure that Dealey students develop to their full potential emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.

PTA EXECUTIVE BOARD ROLES

President *

Parliamentarian *

First Vice President-Family Affairs *

Serves as aide to the President

Presides in the absence of the President

Coordinates the work of Family Affairs committees including their plan of work and budget.

Manages the Enrichment Scholarship program and Nominating Committee

Family Affairs Committee includes Volunteers, Programs, Movie Night, Social, New Families, Room Parent Coordinators, Dad's Club, Birthday Board, and 5th Grade Camp Grady Spruce Coordinator.

Second Vice President- Faculty Relations *

Serves as liaison between the PTA and the Dealey Faculty.

Monitors the classroom allocations made by the PTA.

Coordinates information from the various Faculty Relations committees; summarizing updates and questions for the PTA Executive Board.

Faculty Relations Committees include Secret Pals, Dragon Wishes, Nature Exchange, Healthy Lifestyles, Garden, Reflections, Hospitality, Field Day, and Extracurricular.

Third Vice President -Communication *

Helps our Dealey families stay "in-the-know" through correspondence assistance with our various means of communication.

Works with those teams that publicize school events.

Obtains info from committee chairs and board members to keep community up to date on current events and opportunities.

Communication Committees include Website, Eblast, Facebook, Marquee, Calendar, and Spanish Communication.

Treasurer *

Creates, maintains, and presents budget.

Prepares monthly budget updates.

Processes check requests.

Reconciles bank statements.

Processes deposits.

Renews and pays annual insurance premium.

Prepares quarterly tax filing and annual Non-Profit (Form 990) filing.

Reviews standing rules to ensure internal controls are documented.

Treasure Committees include Assistant Treasurer, Fundraising, Dragon Wagon, Carnival, Raffle, Auction, Rewards Program, and Dealey Dollars.
