WHO SITS ON THE SBDM COMMITTEE?
The SBDM members include the Principal, teachers, staff, and parent committee members. Parent committee members are nominated by Dealey parents each spring or appointed by the Principal.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SBDM & THE PTA?
The PTA (Parent Teacher Association) focuses on fostering communication and cooperation between parents, teachers and staff and providing critical support to the school through fundraising and volunteering. SBDM focuses on advising the Principal on crucial decisions related to academics, safety, and community well-being. We recommend being involved in both to enhance your childās experience at Dealey.
